Bow down to “the most brutal Mercedes commercial vehicle ever.”
Production may have ended in 2020 after only a few short years, but the Mercedes X-Class luxury pickup truck lives on as a one-off six-wheeled monster for sale from Dutch vehicle dealer Classic Youngtimers Consultancy.
Taking inspiration from Mercedes’ own G63 AMG 6×6—and perhaps these renders of X-Class 6x6s—the outfit set out to produce the “most brutal Mercedes commercial vehicle ever.”
That entailed crafting a custom subframe to accommodate the third axle, lifting the cab by about four inches, and installing custom-made ally wheels wrapped in chunky off-road rubber and covered by hulking fender flares.
Classic Youngtimers also added a detachable bed and custom roll-bar but retained black paint and black leather interior. Under the hood is the most powerful factory X-Class engine—a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 producing 254 hp.
As Hypebeast notes, the one-of-one Mercedes-Benz X 350d “Black Edition” is available to purchase now from Classic Youngtimers Consultancy for just under $130,000.
